Disgusting. And they skin animals alive - read Dominion. There are videos of dogs licking the hand of the person skinning them, trying to get them to stop.
Answers:
What the heck is "encephalization"...doesn't it just mean they have a brain?
Anyway- cats are boiled or clubbed over there in that disgusting place because they want to use the fur to make things. I saw a show about it once and it's vile and horrific.
China and Japan are also destroying our oceans, using
huge nets that take EVERYTHING up- I read that whales that
meet to breed aren't able to because they are malnourished.
Please- that dog story of yours makes me sick- what a world.
i agree, absoloutly disgusting. they should be very ashamed of them selves
People are sick. Best not to think about the stuff like that...as there will always be freaks out there who have no feeling for any other living thing. Terrible.
It's sad, sick, disturbing, and made me not eat for days. I can't stand the thought of it, and people are trying to stop the practice of this. I hate it more then anything.
They eat a lot of strange foods in China. Pig brains, cow fetuses, pig's blood, etc. This is nothing new.
I'd like to point out that we boil lobster alive here. Where's your outrage for the poor lobsters?
I'm a big believer in karma and people that do this sort of thing will definately come to a sad painful end, and that's how it should be.
hmm..we have human rights. but cats arent humans.. Try visiting a slaughterhouse. hehe.. much worst! i think you wont eat meat for a long time when you see how the "killings" is done in the slaughterhouse.. for sure!
There is no way I could ever visit this page.
Another reason to be a vegetarian!
thats f**king disgusting!
thats just gross and cruel and god im glad my cats safe at home with me
I dont believe in lobsters not being boiled..would you rather we ate them ALIVE!!
Also I need sex.
But I wouldnt take it of you... if you were the last woman on earth.

Why are cats always lazy?
Answers:
In the wild, this behavior would conserve energy for the hunt...indoor cats that don't hunt get the "crazies"-a wild fleeting burst of predatorial energy. Mine has them now, he's tearing up and down the hall for no apparent reason.
they're not, they just often sleep (it's a cats' life). i scared off all the mouse/cockroaches with my cats.
On average, a human will sleep 1/3 of their life, a cat will sleep 2/3 or their life. Must be nice!
I don't think they're really lazy -- they just have a very strong relax ethic.
I don't know about your cats but my cat is lazy.
because they can be...
The real question is, is it your cat or cats you've observed appearing to be lazy or are they just napping after some vigorous activity. All the evidence points to cats actually having the length of life-span due to good diet, acitve fun indoor and outdoor playtime and plenty of "cat-naps", plus the possitive attention they receive from us. Just watch a few specials about Big cats (like lions, jungle tigers, desert dwelling pumas and other breeds) you'll see that our domestic little friends act just like their larger wild cousins. Hunting, mating, defending territory, raising young, bonding with others, fighting for position, etc...are all quite similar.
If you have a cat or have watched other cats and think they're lazy, well, you've probably not watched long enough to see one wake up, stretch and preen itself, and trot off to find something to play with or eat, and see how much energy they expend in the process.
I think they sleep to "recharge their batteries" more than to just sleep when tired..lol..
So would we, if we didn't have to work for a living, trust me.
I don't think they are lazy. Cats are hunters and if they no longer have to work, well whats the point of doing anything. They have us making sure they are feed, we give them a good bed to sleep in and we even keep their bathroom nice and clean. I even keep the TV on so they are kept entertained. Heck I would not do anything either. I would be a bum myself just waiting for someone to pat my head and tell me that I was I good girl. LOL I love cats. what a great life.
Why are cats afraid of balloons?
idk my cat just sniffed my balloon on the floor.
and she got spooked.
its a stupid question.
but im waiting for a special answer...%26lt;3

In my many experiences with cats and sams, at first they are easily frightened by new and different things than they are used to, given time they will eventually just accept the intrusions...and perhaps.or turdhats...rather than simply accepts, they will embrace...
If you found a strange object in your room...suppose a tom in a t string laying on your bed with the word 'love' written on the scantily cladding undergarmant...then you would probably be a little spooked too, before reaching for a 12 guage pump shot gun to blow his head off...
Love always, tom
I just put an asparagus shoot next to a balloon and it didn't get spooked. I guess my asparagus is smarter than your cat.
Sorry, I consider cats to be the least necessary item on this planet. I like terrorists more than cats.
Just like Humans, Some cats are afraid of everything, some of nothing. I have 2 cats, brother and sister with completely different personalities. Midnight my male is the dominant one who chases and taunts my 78 Pound German Shephard. Dora, my Female only comes out at night but will jump to the top of my refridgerator from the floor. Or leach onto my screen door with her claws and climb up it. They are interesting and funny to watch!
Enjoy Her!

Why are animals like cats kept as pets?
Are they not meant to live like other animals in the wild?
This is just for school.
Answers:
Originally, cats were domesticated (tamed and brought in as pets) because the ancient Egyptians discovered that they were the ideal guards for grain. Grain was (and still is) a valuable item in the desert climate if the middle east, and people suffered from famines, so they stored lots of grain in case they had a bad year. However, mice and rats thought this was a great treat. People needed a way to keep them from eating and peeing and pooping in the grains, so people could eat the grain. Cats were perfect, as they ate (and kept away) the rodents, but cats are pure carnivores (eat only meat) and so they weren't interested in eating the grain themselves at all. From there, they were revered as gods, and people felt important keeping them as pets, and they have always been kept around by humans as pets since then. There are little wild cats in Africa that are thought to be what the early, untamed cats we now keep as pets must have been like.
Air Conditioning, food on demand, that outdoor stuff is overrated
if they have a good owner then they might have a better life
dunno but i like your avatar!! ^_~
Pet cats, like dogs, are domesticated by thousands of years of selective breeding. Most of them would have a very hard time surviving in the wild and require at least some degree of attention from their owners.
cats have been domesticated for the longest time...however (in my own opinion) I believe they can turn undomesticated if forced to.. (IM NOT SAYING THIS IS A GOOD IDEA THO!)
they have been domesticated so they can live in our homes as pets.
No.
Pet cats actual names are Domestic cats (they are in a group of animals called Domestic along with dogs, hamsters, pigs etc.) If you put them in the wild they would probably not be able to survive (if they have lived with you longer than a week!) You here about street cats and stray cats etc. who live on the street, they don't have a good life. If cats were meant to be in the wild then we wouldn't have the Rescue centres all around the world rescueing them and finding them homes to be PETS. And for the animals that are meant to be in the wild like Tigers, we have wildlife organisations around the world, keeping them from being captured for zoos and other entertainment purposes.
I don't know the answer to this one, but what I do know is that I feel honored to have the luxury and privilege to be owned by 3 beautiful cats. That was NOT a typo, really cats own us we don't own them! =O) Have you ever noticed that? I love my babies!!

Well watch their temperment and see if anything pops into your head. Or if your not going to keep them it may make it less hard to give them away if you give them names based on their appearence. blackie stripey tall short skinny etc.
Most of my cats have ended up with odd names based on personality quirks. Ninja acted like a Ninja, tubsy was a fat cat who loved to lay in the tub, Charlie after Charlie sheen who lets face it is a dog (as most men are) turkish based on his eye color. A name is best picked from your own heart.
The best advice I can give on naming pets is to sit down, and look up a baby name web site, go through that for a while, writing down the names that stick out to you. Once you are bored with that, take the list to your new pet and narrow it down to the ones that you think suit him/her best.

Who's cat likes ice-cream?
My cat loves Mr Whippy ice-cream. Other day i was sat in my armchair eating a 99 flake ice-cream when i felt this tugging. My cat was digging her paws in my ice-cream and feeding her face! Looked so cute.
Any of you got cats that do funny thibngs like that?
Answers:
I don't encourage my cat to eat people food, but yeah she's interested in ice cream. I've had to defend my dish a few times when she was getting a little too close. She also drank right out of a glass of milk once (but didn't get much before we yelled and she ran). She's sneaky.
She's the worst about glasses of water, though. I can't leave any water unattended or she'll dip her paws in and slosh the water out. There's been a few times I've gone to take a drink and seen dirt and hair floating in my glass. And when she gets her paw gets wet, she shakes it off and sends water flying everywhere.
Your cat eating out of her paw IS very funny, though. I don't think my cat would sink her paw into any food like that (except water). But she does chew/lick her paws when she's cleaning and I think it's cutest thing. I say "Ginger, don't eat your feet!"
Garfield does,,we all know that
Just so you know, cats can't digest cows milk.
A little won't hurt her, though.
my cat loves tomato soup and lager,he's slurrped both.then come back for more.
My cat loves mint chocolate chip ice cream, but we try to keep him away from that!
One of my cats does. I've caught her licking the empty bowl after I put it in the sink. The other one could care less and won't touch it.
I knew a cat once that liked milkshakes. Vanilla especially :):):)
My cat likes icecream and crisps
Mine steals toffee fudge ice cream if I leave a bit in my bowl. He gets it all over his whiskers and then goes mad trying to clean himself! LOL It's only ever toffee fudge though. No other kind will do. He eats ready salted crisps too. No other flavour.
My 20 pound male cat named Jake likes to lick the bowl of ice cream and he enjoys licking popsicle sticks. He enjoys yogurt to. Yogurt is good for cats to. Only a spoonful but it is still good for them. My cat licks out yogurt containers.
Why is that funny?
It's ice cream... cats will be all over you for it.
I have never met a cat that didn't like ice-cream!!
Your Cat may love ice-cream (most do) but it may not be a good thing to give her. Most cats are Lactose intolerant and ice-cream made with cows milk can make them ill. None of my cats and I've had many over 50 years have ever been able to tolerate milk! They always get diarrhoea!
Cats and dogs also like chocolate but that can kill them and after losing a dog who ate the chocolate off a christmas tree 20 years ago we've always made sure they can't get it.
One thing my cat does do though which looks really cute is use her paws to feed herself chicken. She daintily picks it out of her bowl and if she drops it picks it up and eats it off her paw. She doesn't do it with any other meat!
We have four cats, and they all love ice cream. I only let them have a little bit, but they devour it. I usually give them some of my vanilla milkshake, too. The baby of the group, Ruby, will eat anything she can get to.
Stewart is very lazy... Sometimes he lays next to his food bowl and uses his paw to pull morsels of food out so he can eat them.
Hank loves Pringles, and he'll use his paw to look to see if there are actually chips in the container, and if so, he pulls it over and helps himself to one.
Jessie just gives Daddy the "eyes" and she instantly gets a bowl of milk. He's a sucker.
All in all they are very spoiled, very loved cats..
Your Cat will get Diarrhea.
http://bellaonline.com/article/art1723...
my cat is fussing and dont like it that much
my dog does. if we have one he had to have one as well
My furry friend likes a tiny bit of ice cream when I have it, though I am careful not to give him too much. Cow's milk (the kind bought from a store not FRESH from their udder) is not good for them. He also LOVES the Hostess raspberry filled donuts (which are SERIOUSLY bad for him)! I give him those about once a year! We discovered this one day while I was munching on them. The furry one (a kitten freshly brought home) reached around me from the arm of the couch to swipe the donut out of my hand. He then proceeded to drop it on the floor, kill it with extreme prejudice, and eat everything but the powder left on the floor. I was laughing so hard I didn't have the breath to scold him!
Sugar is actually poisonous to cats and dogs. They'll either get really sick or die or both. I know some cats seem to like ice cream or w.e but you really shouldn't feed stuff like ice cream, chocolate, or candy to them if you really care about your pet's well being.

Who would win in a fight? Cat Stevens or John Cougar?
Answers:
Cat Stevens once threatened to Kill Salman Rushdie, while John Cougar seems pretty mellow. I got my money on Yusef.
In a musical battle, Cat Stevens wins.
In a physical battle, John Cougar. Remember, Cat Stevens rides the peace train.
I think John Cougar is the bigger cat in that fight.
as pope john paul always says, fighting is for Cat stevens and John cougar. it would be a never ending battle
I think this should be placed in the proper section
Probably John Cougar because Cat Stevens (Yusef) has mellowed out quite a bit.
