Answers:
Felidae. Wellness. Newman's Own Organic pet food. None of these were involved in food recalls and all are superior products.
Here's their site (Canidae and Felidae) with info on ordering and store locations in your area.

I give my cats Purina One Formula dry cat food. They don't throw it up and it's healthier for them.
I suggest dry food. Dry food fights tarter. It is less messy. You don't need to deal with the smell. Make sure if you buy dry food or wet food in the ingredients it doesn't say by-product. It is veeeeery bad. The main ingredient should be chicken.
Our cat is about 3 years old. We have been feeding him dry Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul, Adult Light for about a year. He was eating dry Science Diet Adult Light. He had been itching, scratching and shedding a lot and he had the Hair Ball Cough all of the time. Chicken Soup was recommended to me by the Pet Food Express staff and it has improved his skin 100%. His breath (and saliva) do not have that nasty cat-spit smell anymore and his #2 is not as stinky. And, he really seems to enjoy eating it (he was very uninterested in treats when we offered him the choice: new food or treats).
It is all on what your cat needs for vitamins, and nutrients, and if it has a health problem. I think that february is also dental month for them and you can get a discount on cleaning of their teeth, you might have to ask your local vet though, it depends on the area.. Good Luck! :)
I posted some websites that have great info on the benefits of dry vs wet cat food. :D
While reviewing my research below, consider these tips: cat's require variety in their food. Try to get something with a little variety. Cat's are also finicky, and after carefully sniffing at your latest gourmet offering, they may walk away in complete dissatisfaction.
Cat's are usually sensible about how much food they eat, and very few will over-eat.

From my personal experience with my cats, I would actually reccomend Iams.. It's available at most Wal-Marts in the pet isle, and at most pet-stores. It decreases need to eliminate in cats %26 dogs.. and it's generally healthy for your cats. Not to mention, my cats love the taste! With Iams, I don't think your cat not liking the taste is something to worry about -- unless of course they've already been adjusted to a special formula cat-food, then the chances are a little higher.
just put them together DU-OH
I will tell you this. There is no such thing as good dry food. Merrick or wellness are good cannned choices and are top of the line human grade. fancy feast is a middle grade food
Nutrition since there are so many bad things out there is very important to your cat鈥檚 health
Contrary to what you may have heard, dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat.
Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.i鈥檚 and a host of other problems. The problems with it are that they are loaded with carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process. Most of the moisture a cat needs is gotten
out of the food and 95% of it is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Also, most use horrible ingredients and don't use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive.
You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn't have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all. Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. Also, dry food is not proven to be better for teeth. Please read about cat nutrition.

We get our cat food right from the vet, both dry as well as wet and with your cat who is male, they say to enure that they do get the wet since male cats are much more prone to developing urinary tract infections (UTI). The name of the food that we get from the vet and it's usually for cats with colitis, a type of inflammatory bowel disease or inflammation of the colon/large intestine, is Royal Canine, rabbit and green pea. My female tabby really enjoys it and doesn't know that it's more healthy for her with her digestive problems :) [She also gets some medicine for the colitis including Gastroplex, an herbal supplement, from her vet who practices alternative as well as conventional medicine.]
The best dry food is Purina One (my cats eat Chicken %26 Rice Formula). If you read the ingredients the main ingredient is chicken whereas other dry foods list cereals as the main ingredient. If you live in Australia you can purchase a 1.5kg bag for abot $10-$12 and do the 30 day challenge buy going on the internet and registering. They send you a CD and a form to send in with your receipt and they will send you a cheque for the amount you spent. You need to slowly change your cat over to this my mixing with its regular food and increase this food and decrease the old food slowly over several days. Then you need to feed your cat the food for thirty days and see the difference. I got my cat from the pound and she was skinny and her fur was thin and dull. The main difference I saw was that she put on weight (she is still slim though) and she has a healthy shiny full coat. With wet food I don;t really see much of a difference as the main ingredient is usually left over meat products.
