What's the best way to stop a cat from urinating in my grandma's bed while she is sick with the flu?

Answers:
drop kick it out the front door
Close your grandma's bedroom door.
Find a tall oak tree and a short piece of rope...the rest writes its self
Have you tried keeping the cat away from your grandma's room?
Close the door.
put it outside
She can probably smell the illness and doesn't like it so she urinates to cover the smell. Keep her out of you Grandma's room until she's better, and then wash and Febreeze everything.
keep the cat away from your grandma! duhh!!!
try cat away spray they dont like the smell, and its good! other than that keep her out of the room and let her have free run of the rest of the house as she/he is dosent want to feel its being bad its just covering the sickness smell which is a nautural instinict.
If you use an enzymatic cleaner on the bed it will remove every bit of the smell. Even if you think it is clean, the cat's sense of smell is much more sensitive than yours and will return to that spot. You can get enzymatic cleaners like Simple Solution or Natures Miracle (there are other brands, too) at pet stores and on line. After it is cleaned up following the directions on the container, you can bring kitty in to see Grandma, but only for a visit. Otherwise, confine the cat elsewhere. Using sprays to repel the cat will also repel you. I find even the citrus ones too strong.
Keep him out of the room. Use a special cleaner to clean the bed and carpet because he will be able to detect the pee smell even though its been cleaned with regular cleaners.
He is distressed at your grandma being ill and is doing this to "act out" his distress.
He has probably developed an association between your grandma's bed and going for a pee. Its very hard to break and the only thing you can do it keep the door shut and clean everything in case he does get in.
We had this problem with our cat who was put to sleep yesterday (he was very ill). He started peeing on the bathroom floor and did it every morning!! We kept shutting the door but the latch didn't close properly and so he managed to push it open! We couldn't understand how we'd shut it every night and then come down in the morning to find out he'd been in there again!
